  • Day 7 3/23/15<br /> 9:30 am Krausen head is definitely receding, should take gravity reading later today.
  • Day 7 Measuring the gravity of the Oktoberfest.<br /> took a sample, let it warm to 65°, it is 8 brix with the corrected specific gravity of 1.019. Sample smells yeasty and malty <br /> <br /> Still maintaining temps of 48-51

  • Day 14 9:30 PM took a sample of carboy on left at 64° was 7.25 brix<br /> replaced blow off tubes with two air locks, one on right with thermowell so I can check actual temp of beer current temp of beer is 63°
